Kyoto University’s Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) is offering a research experience opportunity for undergraduate students who aspire to enter graduate school at Kyoto University and who are interested in exploring the intersection of life and matter or creating new materials inspired by life’s phenomena. 1. Qualifications and conditions for application

Students who meet the following qualifications and conditions are invited to apply.

1. Students who are enrolled in a foreign university (bachelor's degree program).
2. Students must plan to complete at least two semesters of undergraduate study after completing the program.
3. Students who are interested in pursuing a masters at Kyoto University as members of an iCeMS laboratory.

3. Time period (length of internship)

At least 4 weeks but not more than 3 months.

• In general, the internship should begin and be completed between July and the end of October 2022.

4. Location

Center for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS), Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Study (KUIAS)

5. Participation fee

¥29,700 per month.

• Students who are enrolled in a university that has an inter-university or inter-departmental agreement with Kyoto University or the Kyoto University Institute of Advanced Study will not be charged the above participation fee. For a list of partner universities, please see below.
